About Me (Jennifer)
I’m a Yoga Teacher Trainer, Mindfulness Coach, and co-founder of Still I Rise Yoga Academy, where I share practical, thoughtful yoga education designed to support real life.
I’ve trained with the founders of Yin Yoga, Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers, and these teachings form the foundation of how I work with the body, mind, and nervous system. I share Yin Yoga as an intelligent, accessible practice – one that supports wellbeing, emotional balance, and sustainable energy.
Yoga became a steady anchor for me during a demanding period working in a 9–5 career as a Statistician and Business Analyst. On the outside, life looked “successful,” but internally I was burnt out, anxious, and disconnected from my body. Through Yin Yoga and Mindfulness, I learned how to regulate stress, rebuild trust in myself, and create balance without giving up motivation or ambition.
That same approach is what I now share in this course.
Over the past decade, I’ve taught yoga internationally across Asia, the United States, and Australia, and I now facilitate Yoga Teacher Trainings that guide students to become confident, grounded teachers who lead with compassion and self-trust.
Alongside my yoga work, I bring a strong background in academic education, coaching, and business, with certifications in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). This allows me to support students not just physically, but mentally and emotionally – in a way that’s practical, structured, and deeply human.
For me, yoga isn’t about escaping life – it’s about learning how to live it with greater clarity, balance, and ease.
