About Your Teacher

A dedicated Yogi, Teacher Trainer and Empowerment Coach, Ramoncito empowers aspiring Yogis to step into their true confidence as a leader in their community. Ramoncito was first introduced to the practice of Yoga in 2016. He began practicing yoga as a means to balance out his strength training; since then Yoga has become a journey for Ramoncito to connect with himself and everything around him through conscious awareness and presence. Ramoncito has a logical approach to liberating the body in union with the breath, paving a practice towards stilling your mind and developing your awareness – derived from his world-renowned teacher and creator of Universal Yoga, Andrey Lappa.

No, you don’t have to be flexible to do yoga… It’s an urban myth that people who are tight can’t do yoga. Yoga isn’t just stretching – it’s extremely toning, calming, meditative, spiritual, healing and opening. Flexibility is only one aspect of it. After completing this 5-week course, you will naturally gain flexibility with a myriad of other benefits.

This is a progressive course. Daily classes range from 5 minutes to 50 minutes, and ultimately, you get to decide how much time you want to spend daily or weekly on the course, from a range of class options.

This will be entirely up to you to make the decision whether you want to practice yoga while menstruating. For most women, practicing yoga helps them alleviate cramping, bloating, pain and aches, and uplifts their mood while menstruating. So, let your body be the judge and decide what your body needs.

We teach traditional hatha yoga (which originated from India thousands of years ago). Hatha Yoga is the father of modern yoga.

  • Avoid eating a big meal 1 hour before class

Once the course commences, students seeking a refund will need to advise during Week 2 via email to hello@carjayoga.com. Refunds are authorized via email only. You must have completed the classes up until Week 2 and request your refund via email during Week 2 of the course. You’ll have two options: we will apply your tuition to any Carja Academy course, training or event, or send you a full refund. Complimentary enrolments are not eligible for refund. Yoga can be an effective tool to help you lose weight. Awareness gained through a gentle, relaxing yoga practice (and even through active forms of yoga) helps you to lose weight. Many experts agree that yoga works in different ways to bring about a healthy weight.

Practicing yoga regularly can help you to manage symptoms of insomnia. You may be able to fall asleep quicker, sleep for longer, and go back to sleep after waking up at night. Research from 2019 points to the effectiveness of yoga in treating insomnia and promoting better sleep.

Yoga can ease pregnancy symptoms and keep you in great shape for delivery. If you are in Trimester 1, then this course is suitable for you. If you are in Trimester 2 & 3, we do not recommend this course for you as a beginner. It’ll be best for you to enrol in our other online course designed specifically for pregnant women, “Yoga For Pregnancy.”

Fertility for Women: Some studies have found that yoga has benefits for those who are trying to conceive. Yoga relieves stress, and stress can negatively impact your ability to get pregnant. Research has shown that women with more biomarkers for stress in their saliva had less of a chance of getting pregnant during ovulation than women with fewer biomarkers for stress, and that women with higher levels of cortisol in their bodies had an increased risk of miscarriage. Other research has found that yoga helps women undergoing fertility treatments. A review of 87 studies on yoga found that a regular yoga practice can improve outcomes for women going through fertility treatments. That’s why some fertility clinics have introduced “fertility yoga” to their offerings.

Fertility For Men: A 2013 study showed that incorporating yoga into daily life can help lower stress and anxiety, regulate body function, and support sperm production. The researchers concluded that yoga can improve male reproductive health and can help prevent infertility.
